QVCDC is a non-profit community development organization located in Ware, Massachusetts and serves primarily small business borrowers in the Quaboag Region. In addition, QVCDC provides an array of programs to support local businesses and our communities. Programs include developing economic activities that substantially benefit low income and disadvantaged residents of the service area by (1) reducing unemployment (2) reducing underemployment, (3) education and on the job skills training, and (4) the creation of job opportunities.

POSITION TITLE:                          LOAN PROGRAM ASSISTANT
 
Job Type:In Office – 35-40 hours weekly

POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Provide a wide range of administrative and support to the Executive Director and loan program.
Assist with a variety of tasks and follow up with applicants.
 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to the Executive Director and loan staff, including scheduling, record keeping, taking minutes, writing letters/emails, copying/faxing/scanning and making phone calls.
 
  • Assist the Loan Coordinator with administrative support and follow up with clients.
 
  • Prepare loan documents and follow up with information needed for closing.
 
  • Data entry – new and updating client files/activity.
 
  • Request borrower financials, review and enter information into loan servicing software.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Two years’ experience working in a business office.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience or additional directly related experience may be substituted for education.

 
POSITION TITLE:                          LOAN PROGRAM ASSISTANT
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook & PowerPoint), SharePoint, Google apps, Doodle.
  • Knowledge of Small Business operations.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, able to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bi-lingual capacity a plus.
  • Attention to detail, sound professional judgement and discretion, flexibility, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • An understanding of data capture and tracking methods.
  • Sense of humor, enthusiasm for the mission, and ability to develop positive working relationships with partner organizations, government agencies, customers and staff.
 
SALARY DESCRIPTION: Commensurate with experience, Hourly Starting: $19- $22

  • The work environment includes indoor office environments or comparable spaces and community spaces with occasional exposure to outdoor weather when traveling to meeting sites. The noise level may vary.
