Our Mission: "To improve the quality of life in the Quaboag Valley by addressing the economic environmental, and social needs of its residents while maintaining the integrity and character of each community in the region."
QVCDC is a non-profit community development organization located in Ware, Massachusetts and serves primarily small business borrowers in the Quaboag Region. In addition, QVCDC provides an array of programs to support local businesses and our communities. Programs include developing economic activities that substantially benefit low income and disadvantaged residents of the service area by (1) reducing unemployment (2) reducing underemployment, (3) education and on the job skills training, and
(4) the creation of job opportunities.

POSITION TITLE: FISCAL COORDINATOR
Job Type:In Office – 35-40 hours weekly
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fiscal Coordinator will work closely with the Fiscal Manager on daily accounting functions. These include entries into the QuickBooks software such as but not limited to; bill payment, preparing invoices and following up on payments. Tasks also include assisting with budget tracking of funding and various project expenses (using QB & Excel).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular data entry into QuickBooks and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Generate monthly transaction reports for invoicing and expense tracking.
- Follow-up with individual funding sources for reimbursements.
- Perform reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Keep program staff updated on budgets and expenditures.
- Assist with annual organizations’ audits.
- Assist with annual budgets and reports.
- Keep files organized.
REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Administration & Finance or Accounting preferred
- Two years’ experience working in a business office
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience or additional directly related experience may be substituted for education.
- Knowledge of Nonprofit accounting a Plus
POSITION TITLE: FISCAL COORDINATOR
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrate proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Have a good understanding and knowledge of accounting and business operations.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, able to multi-task.
- Attention to detail, sound professional judgement and discretion, flexibility, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Have excellent communication, organizational and record-keeping skills.
SALARY DESCRIPTION: Commensurate with experience, Hourly Starting: $20 - $23
