Event Description:

The same Open Mic you traditionally love, just under a new name.

Our Open Mics stand out from the rest as something special that gives artists an opportunity to play on a professional stage with great lighting and sound with an encouraging and listening audience. Our Open Stage Nights feature a Host band to bookend the evening of local songwriters and bands to perform originals and covers. 

Sign up to come with yourself, or your band! Each artist gets 2 songs or approx. 10 mins for each performer.  All musicians are encouraged to sign up in advance to ensure that they have a spot.

For this month, Bring Out your Dead. If you’d like a backing band for your songs, send us your set list and the host band will happily accompany you.

$5 – $20 Door Donation. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Music from 7 pm to 10 pm.  

A little about the host band:

August First is an original New England based project creating their own unique take on stringed music through their originals and covers alike. They began as a string band celebrating the many musical incarnations of Jerry Garcia and have since evolved into so much more as the band marks its 10 years performing together.  
With a powerful vocal delivery layered with bluegrass styled picking, their musical sound bodes both texture and emotional depth.  August First has played stages across the country, their eclectic instrumental lineup of standard and tenor guitars, cello, mandolin, and harmonica truly leaves audiences wanting more.
 

Cafe-style table seating.  Hot dogs, Beer & Wine are available for purchase, as always, we will be featuring Tree House Brewery! Complimentary popcorn.
